The Prince reaches up with an open sack to receive the Great Seal from a man standing in the window, possibly Richard Fitzpatrick. Watching the scene are a courtesan and Mrs. Robinson (Perdita), whose hat is inscribed, "Perditi," an allusion to the status of both women, as well as to Fox's unenviable political situation
