Aaron Detweiler, Corp'l, Co. G, 198th Pa., Vols., aged 18, was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, April 2nd, 1865, suffering from gun shot wound of right arm, upper third, the ball injuring soft parts. Wounded, March 29th, 1865, at the battle of Hatcher's Run, Va. Charles H. Greenfield, Private, Co. F, 9th N.Y.H.A., was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, April 12th,1865, suffering from gun shot wound of left arm, extent of injury unknown, also of gun shot wound of back, the ball entering at inferior angle of scapula, making its exit near spine, injuring soft parts. Wounded, April 2nd, 1865, at the battle of Petersburgh, Va. Amputation of left arm, upper third, antero-posterior flaps, on the field. Date of operation and name of operator unknown. Charles H. Wood., Chas. H. Wood, Private, Co. D, 53rd Pa. Vols., aged 19, was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, April 5, 1865, suffering from gun shot wound of left arm, extent of injury unknown. Wounded, March 31st, 1865, at the battle of Petersburgh, Va. The left arm was amputated on the field March 31st, 1865, by a circular incision. On admission, the stump was in good condition. Constitutional state of patient was also good. David H. Key, Ser't, Co. G, 3rd N.J. Cav., aged 23, was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital April 19, 1865, with gunshot wound through the mouth, the ball carrying away canine and first bicuspid teeth of right lower jaw, and first bicuspid tooth of right upper jaw, wounding tongue, passing inside of ramus of lower jaw, left side, and lodging beneath integuments posterior to angle of jaw. Also gunshot (flesh) wound right arm, middle third, anterior aspect, ball passing through from before. Wounded April 6th, 1865, at battle of Harper's Farm, Va. April 7th, 1865.—Removal of ball on the field by counter opening, half an inch posterior to angle of jaw, and one inch below lobule of ear.—Progressed favorably. Transferred to U.S. Gen'l Hospital, Newark, N.J., May 2nd, 1865. Doing well., David H. Key., Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital,, R. B. BONTECOU,, and Surgeon U.S. Vols., In Charge.

Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital,, Hospital Number 20,277., John Crawford Co., B. 198, Pa. Age 29, admitted to Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital from City Point, April 2nd 1865, with gunshot fracture of the upper third of the right humerus, received at Hatcher's Run, March 29th, 1865. Splints were applied to the limb, and simple dressings to the wound, and the system supported by stimulants and nourishing diet. He was transferred to Chestnut Hill Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa., May 13th 1865, and was then doing well., John Crawford., R. B. BONTECOU,, and Surgeon U.S. Vols., In charge.

Gen'l Hospital, April 16th, 1865, suffering from gun shot wound of right shoulder posterior aspect, the ball injuring soft parts. Wounded, April 7th, 1865, at the battle of Farmersville, Va. On admission, the condition of injured parts and constitutional state of patient were good. Result favorable. Patient was doing well when discharged from the U. Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital., Hospital Number 15,877., John Harvey, Private, Co. F, 29th Mass. Vols., aged 19, was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, June 21st, 1864, suffering from gun shot wound of left forearm, the ball entering at upper third and passing upwards, grooving the head of humerus and fracturing left cavicle. Wounded, June 17th, 1864, at the battle of Petersburgh, Va. Resection of head of humerus, and of about three inches of left clavicle which was fractured, denuded and protruding. The ball was extracted from under fractured cavicle on the 28th of June. Operation performed by Surg. R. B. Bontecou, U.S. Vols., July 17th, 1864. The condition of parts at time of operation was tolerably good, but patient was weak from excessive suppuration. The wound had healed and patient was doing well when discharged from the hospital, Feb. 18th, 1865., John Harvey., R. B. BONTECOU,, and Surgeon U.S. Vols., In Charge.

Thomas Smith, 1st sergt., Co. K, 1st Mich. S.S., admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, August 15, 1865, suffering from a severe and destructive inflammation, with loss of vision of both eyes, contracted on field; cause unknown. Constitutional state of patient otherwise good. This soldier has a congenital deformity of right forearm, and in this condition served faithfully for four years in the ranks, carrying his musket, and regularly performing his duties. Transferred. and THOMAS SMITH.

Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital,, Hospital Number 20.611., R. B. BONTECOU,, Surgeon U.S. Vols:, In Charge., Thomas W. Hollen, private Co. H. 205 Pa. Vols., age 28, admitted April 5th 1865, to Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital from City Point, Va., with gun shot wound through right wrist joint, also upper third right arm, flesh. Wounded at Petersburg, April 2, 1865. When admitted wrist and hand were very much swollen and inflamed, but by the application of cold to the parts all inflammation had ceased. April 20th, the wrist and hand became again swollen and very much inflamed, and all remedies failed to subdue it, sinuses having formed on the dorsal surface of hand and wrist. The sinuses were relieved of pus, and fore arm enveloped in bran; sinuses continued to form, having involved the cellular tissue of elbow joint. April 28th, by bandaging from shoulder to elbow joint, the inflammation was subdued. Very little discharge from wound at present time (May 1st.) Gangrene attacked the hand, but soon disappeared., and Thomas W. Hollen.

Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital,, Hospital Number, 20,474., R. B. BONTECOU,, Surgeon U.S. Vols., In charge., William Brown, Corp'l, Co. I, 1st Mass. H.A., aged 34, was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, April 5th, 1865, suffering from gun shot wound of posterior part of lower third of left forearm, injuring ulna. Wounded, March 31st, 1865, at the battle of Petersburgh, Va. Amputation of left forearm, upper third, by a circular incision. Operation performed by Surg. R. B. Bontecou, U.S.V., April 15th, 1865. Condition of injured parts at time of operation very bad, gangrenous and sloughing. Constitutional state of patient very poor. Patient did tolerably well after the operation, till about April 22nd, but from that date he suffered severely from diarrhea, and gradually sank, notwithstanding the free use of astringents, opiates and a general supporting treatment throughout., and William Brown.
