"Mukhtārāt al-nawāzil" (Selected new issues), a treatise on Islamic law according to the Ḥanafī tradition, by Burhān al-Dīn ʻAlī ibn Abī Bakr al-Farghānī al-Marghīnānī, a prominent and prolific Ḥanafī scholar, whose "nisbah" (affiliation) is to Marghīnān, a locality in the district of Farghānah (Marghilon, Farghona, Uzbekistan), being a collection of selected "nawāzil" (new issues which require fatwás (advisory or legal opinions), from a "faqīh" (Islamic law scholar)).
