He wears black boots, a blue, double-breasted over-coat, and a black hat, and is accompanied by a white dog."--British Museum online catalogue and "Grosvenor (1742-1823), who became the most noted practical surgeon in Oxford, was admitted to the priviliges of the University in 1768, as 'chirurgus'.
