A view of the grounds of Strawberry Hill, the villa only partially visible in the distance through a gap in the trees. In the foreground stands the obelisk on a knoll, behind and to the right of which is the cottage set back among the trees. At left is the field to the east of the villa, which is separated from the road by a wooden fence. A man walks along the road in the middle distance; further down the road, a carriage can be seen traveling towards the house
