Abstract: Papers feature material relating to Sikorsky's The Invisible Encounter (New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1947), including: drafts, autograph manuscript (incomplete) and typescript, corrected; a printed version, annotated, of the 1947 Scribner's edition of the book; and a typescript letter from Boris Brasol of the Poushkin Society of America, commenting on a draft of the manuscript and mentioning "George V. Golokhvastoff". Accompanied by one autograph manuscript notebook entitled, "In Search of Ethereal Realities".
Description: Igor Ivan Sikorsky (1889-1972), aviator, engineer, and industrialist, was born in Kiev, Russia (now Ukraine) and emigrated to the United States in 1919.
