Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital,, Hospital Number, 20,793., Jacob F. Simmons, Private, Co. H, 82nd Pa. Vols., aged 20, was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, April 16th, 1865, suffering from gun shot wound of right shoulder, the ball entering near the middle of scapula, making its exit over the middle of left scapula, injuring soft parts. Wounded, April 6th, 1865, at the battle of Sailors' Creek, Va. On admission the condition of injured parts and constitutional state of patient were good. Patient was doing well when transferred to U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa., May 28th, 1865., Jacob F. Simmons., R. B. BONTECOU,, and Surgeon U.S. Vols., In charge.

Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital,, Hospital Number 20,215., Jarvis H. Kelly, Private, Co. H, 185 N.Y. Vols., aged 26, was admitted to the Harewood Gen. Hospital April 2d, 1865, with gun shot wound of back, near right shoulder. The ball passed upwards and came out near clavicle of same side. In its passage it fractured the acromion process. Wounded March 29th, 1865, at battle of Hatcher's Run, Va. On admission constitution was good, and wound in good condition. Treatment.—Several spiculæ of bone were removed, and simple dressings used. Nourishing and supporting diet. Patient is doing well; parts nearly healed., Jarvis H. Kelly., R. B. BONTECOU,, and Surgeon U.S. Vols., In Charge.

Gen'l Hospital, April 12th, 1865, suffering from gunshot wound of left leg, lower third, the ball injuring soft parts. Wounded, March 31st, 1865 at the battle of Petersburgh, Va. On admission, the condition of injured parts and constitutional state of patient were good. Patient did tolerably well up to May 10th, 1865, when parts became gangrenous. Result favorable. General Hospital from City Point, April 2nd 1865, with gunshot fracture of the upper third of the right humerus, received at Hatcher's Run, March 29th, 1865. Splints were applied to the limb, and simple dressings to the wound, and the system supported by stimulants and nourishing diet. Gen'l Hospital, April 16th, 1865, suffering from a gangrenous ulcer on the external side of left foot over malleolus, the result of a gun shot wound received at the battle of Amelia Springs, Va., April 6th, 1865. Amputation of left leg, lower third, by a circular incision, June 21st, 1865, by Surg. R. B. Bontecou, U.S.V. The condition of injured parts at the time of operation was gangrenous and sloughing, the bones being necrosed, and the patient considerably emaciated. Patient improving., John D. Parmenter., R. B.
