Horace Walpole had the drawings traced and then engraved for his Historic doubts on the life and reign of Richard III. See London edition, 1768 and Strawberry Hill edition 1770., and Not in Manuscript Catalogue of 1763, but recorded in the Description of Strawberry Hill, 1774, among the rare books of prints and drawings in the library.
Drawing of three objects kept by Horace Walpole in the Tribune at Strawberry Hill. In the upper left is a depiction of Henry VIII's dagger, a Turkish work having a case and handle of chalcedonyx set with diamonds and rubies; the blade of steel damasked with gold is hidden here by the case. In the upper right is a depiction of a silver Turkish ornament, long and narrow with ornamentation in gold and blue on both ends. At the bottom is a depiction of the ornate prayer book supposedly made for Claude, Queen of France, wife of Francis I; visible is the spine of gold enamelled and adorned with rubies and turquoises, as well as the cover of cornelian that was engraved with religious subjects
